End of Year Soireé and Fundraiser

7pm - 10pm, Thu 28 Nov 2024

Bobbie Peels, 351 Queensberry Street, Nth Melb

Tickets: $12 inc drink on arrival

Say farewell to EFFA and hello to Environmental Films Festival!

It’s all happening at EFFA HQ as we say farewell to 2024 and also farewell to our current name!

Next year, we’ll be relaunching as Environmental Films Australia, with the aim of promoting climate action through cinema, community and connection.

That’s right, we are losing an ‘F’ but still give an F!

We’d love you to join us in celebrating EFFA’s legacy and welcoming our new era at our End of Year Soirée & Fundraiser on Thursday 28 November!

Join us between 7pm and 10pm at Bobbie Peels in North Melbourne for a night of films, stories and good times. We’ll have some classic community fundraising activities (get ready to count those lollies in the jar!), free vegan canapes, and all the intel on our name change and next steps.

This is more than a fundraiser - it’s a fun community event, a chance to get together with our EFFA pals, connect with the crew, look to the future, and enjoy each other’s company. Your presence and contributions will ensure we can continue to inspire change, and we look forward to coming together with you to celebrate the power of film and community.

Tickets are $12 and include a complimentary drink on arrival.

5% of ticket income will go to Pay The Rent.

About us.

Environmental Film Festival Australia (EFFA) is a volunteer community group, based in Naarm (Melbourne), that prioritises climate and environments through film, providing platforms for artists to showcase their work and spaces for people to connect and exchange ideas and solutions.

Our program navigates the relationship between humans and their environments and interrogates the way people think about the natural world. We feature films from the world’s most talented and socially-conscious filmmakers, embracing diversity and championing local, Indigenous, minority and creative voices.

We’ve been running since 2010, starting out as a weekend screening event in Palace Kino (as Environmental Film Festival Melbourne) and have since hosted festivals and events throughout Australia and online. We also work with organisations and groups to host environmental film events of their own.
