The global School Strike 4 Climate movement in March 2019 saw more than 150,000 students in Australia alone strike to demand climate action. Youth on Strike takes us behind the scenes of the lead-up to the event, using vlog footage recorded by the organisers themselves.

The result is a frenetically paced documentary that allows youth to speak for themselves, sharing why the movement matters to them, what it means to be an activist, and how to balance the fight for survival with doing your homework.

This film encourages us to get up and do our bit for the movement while asking important questions like what duty we owe to younger generations and whether we can accept kids as our leaders in the fight for their future.
